Press a Perfect Fit

Bristol, TN | The Robinette Co., a full-service flexible packaging and specialty converting manufacturer, is making way for a new 52-in., eight-color Miraflex CM printing press from Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corp. The press will be installed next to their other two W&H presses in the spring of 2009.
Robinette serves the food, beverage, construction, textile, and healthcare markets from two modern 100,000+ sq ft facilities in Tennessee.
The Miraflex CM is a perfect fit for The Robinette Co., says president Joe Robinette. “We chose the Miraflex for several reasons: large-diameter winders, high speed, fast changeovers, and the excellent W&H support.”
The press offers a maximum material width of 52 in. and a maximum printing width of 50 in. Production speed is 1,640 fpm, and print repeats range from 14.6-31.5 in. Included are W&H's next generation of in-line slitting and second generation of Easy-Set for automatic setting of impressions; 51-in. winders; Turboclean 600A modular wash-up system; and a new design of carbon fiber doctor blade chambers for use with water-based inks.
