Best Papers Named At IWEB Conference

STILLWATER, OK | The 11th Intl. Conference on Web Handling (IWEB), sponsored by the Web Handling Research Ctr. (WHRC) at Oklahoma State Univ., was held June 12-15. Three best paper awards were named:
- Dilwyn Jones, Michael McCann, and Steven Abbot, Emral Ltd., for “Web Tension Variations Caused by Temperature Changes and Slip-On Rollers”
- Jerry Brown, Essex Sysems USA, for “The Use of Conservation of Mass in Modeling Lateral Behavior in Moving Webs”
- Kevin Cole, Optimation Technology, for “Measurement and Modeling of 2-D and 3-D Web Feed Rates in Rubber-Covered Nip Roller Applications”
