ITW Buys Teknek

GLENVIEW, ILLINOIS | Illinois Tool Works (ITW) has acquired Glasgow, Scotland-based Teknek, a manufacturer of contact sheet and web cleaning solutions for the electronic and industrial markets. While terms of the transaction were not disclosed, it's reported Teknek will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of ITW and become a part of the company's Electrostatics business platform within the Electronics Group. Michael Oldt, Electrostatics Group general manager, says, “Teknek's strong reputation, product development, and worldwide footprint complement ITW's existing electronic and industrial businesses within the Electrostatics platform, which are marketed under the Simco-Ion, Eltex, and Electrostatic Technology brands.”
