Double E Partners with Mario Cotta

WEST BRIDGEWATER, MA | The Double E Co. has acquired the exclusive rights to sell and service Italy-based Mario Cotta's line of slitting systems, knifeholders, and knives in North America. “Double E now has a top-quality line of slitting products to complement its other converting accessories,” says Mark Fortin, president of Double E, “and Mario Cotta has a strong local partner to deliver outstanding service to North America.”

Mario Cotta's digitally assisted slitter positioning system is said to improve setup time and eliminate web width accuracy rejects. With the measurement system, both male and female slitting units are linked to a large positioner. A single push button activates the female unit clamp, links the male unit to the female unit, and releases the male unit's brake. As a result, operator error reportedly is eliminated and product quality improves.
