Drytac Buys Elite Cameron Slitter/Rewinder

SOMERSET, UK | Elite Cameron is set to install a new CW800 slitter/rewinder at Drytac’s manufacturing facility just outside of Toronto, ON, Canada. This center wind duplex slitter is well suited to convert Drytac’s diverse group of products, including adhesives, laminates, and print media. “We weighed our options carefully and found Elite Cameron to be the best solution for our needs,” comments Paul Vanderweide, VP of operations for Drytac Canada, Inc.
Elite Cameron worked closely with the Drytac team to assess its needs and ensure the requirements that needed to be met could be fulfilled; it was determined that the CW800 would be the best fit. This model produces 800mm (32 in.) diameter finished rolls while maintaining complete web control throughout the process, even at narrow slit widths.
The automatic web and tension control systems and the strategically placed slitting section and path rolls are reported to make the CW800 a unique and effective solution for producing high quality slit rolls at high speed. Overall, it is said to be a robust and reliable machine that will generate quality results for years to come—an absolute must for Drytac as an adhesive-coated products manufacturer.
