Innovation Award to MacDermid

INDIANAPOLIS, IN | The LUX plate processing technology from MacDermid won the 2011 Technical Innovation Award from the Flexographic Technical Assn. (FTA) at the Annual Forum and INFO*FLEX event.

The technology produces flat-top dots on flexo printing plates, reportedly enabling printers to improve print quality and consistency, making flexo more competitive against gravure and offset printing. It can be used on paper, flexible film, foil, paperboard, label stock, and corrugated.
