Plate Demand Leads To Expansion

VALHALLA, NY

Fujifilm will expand its plate manufacturing facility in Tilburg, Netherlands, to meet the demand for Brillia HD CTP plates.

The company will invest approximately 15 billion yen ($154.5 million) to construct a new line for the plates. Construction of the line will begin in October 2008, with plate manufacturing expected to start in January 2010.

The new line will enable the company to produce both the Brillia HD processless thermal plates as well as the new Brillia HD chemistry-free violet plate.
