Digital Label Press Has Wider Web Width

FOSTER CITY, CA | EFI offers an even larger digital label press, the Jetrion 4830 UV Inkjet System, with a wider web width and faster linear speeds that more than double throughput of the previous Jetrion 4000. With improved efficiency and the ability to match spot colors, the press is powered by EFI Fiery XF RIP and is said to provide seamless workflow integration. New white ink is claimed the industry’s first single-pass, over-printable white to offer opacity and brightness rivaling flexo and the capability to print on clear film.

Press prints 8.3 in. (21 cm) wide to enable two-up, 4-in. labels; has higher speed print mode of greater than 120 fpm (36.6 mpm) to increase productivity.

Press reportedly is designed to provide users with flexible output options for greater application versatility, including the ability to print direct to pre-printed rolls or on pre-die-cut labels. Re-registration capabilities and a new reverse rewind feature offer full-color, dual-sided printing with less than 1 min. changeover. Said ideal for pharmaceutical, nutriceutical, and hang-tag applications, system is claimed to deliver excellent print quality via advanced grayscale printhead technology and wide-gamut UV inks. Improved tension control ensures consistent image quality throughout the roll while simultaneously reducing waste. Smart brake technology protects lightweight or perforated substrates.
