Century Packaging Adds Mitsubishi Diamond

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ | Folding carton manufacturer Century Packaging has purchased a new 40-in. Mitsubishi Diamond 3000LX press to serve the cosmetics industry. The Diamond 3000LX prints on paper, board, and plastic ranging from 0.0016 to 0.040 in. in thickness.

The six-color press is outfitted with SimulChanger, the automated plate-changing system that replaces all six plates simultaneously in just over one min. Automated washing systems will cut downtime, and the press will accommodate both aqueous and UV coatings.

“The main reason we purchased this press was to stay current with the latest printing technology,” says Tom Picciolo Jr., CEO and president. “With the Diamond 3000LX, we will be in an excellent position to take on the competition and grow our sales. We are looking to add 25% in sales.”
