Solution Acrylic PSA for Transfer Tapes Is Reactive-Resistant

BRIDGEWATER, NJ | Henkel introduces DURO-TAK™ RRP adhesives, a new reactive-resistant solution acrylic PSA that is said to offer excellent adhesion to difficult-to-adhere-to surfaces in transfer tape applications. Reportedly provides the benefits of two-part performance formulations in a one-part package. Allows for higher amounts of reactive groups to be present while retaining stability comparable to traditional solution acrylics. They offer wide formulation latitude and enable converters to produce products with high-shear and high-heat resistance that provide excellent adhesion to low surface energy materials such as polyethylene and polypropylene. This class of adhesives also is claimed to provide particularly good adhesion to the new generation of automotive topcoats.
