Paperboard Liner Gives Pouch Rigidity

CHICAGO, IL | Exhibiting the point-of-use benefits consumers demand of both a rigid container and a pouch, Alcan Packaging is garnering a bag full of attention with the introduction of the Flexidity Pouch.
The Flexidity Pouch creates a powerful consumer experience via its stay-open features that enable product consumption directly from the pouch. A key element to this feature is an inner paperboard liner that gives the flexible structure its rigidity.
Flexidity can be made in both mono- and multi-web lamination formats and is appropriate for ambient-filled on-the-go or at-home staple products. The structure is converted on Ilapak machinery and can be filled, depending on size and film and paperboard gauges, at up to 45 packs per minute.
