Recycled Labels Remove More Waste

FAIRFIELD, NJ | Logotech reports it has mastered printing on a new label stock made of 100% post-consumer recycled paper. Most recycled label stock contains 10% to 20% post-consumer waste, notes Logotech president Leslie Gurland. The new stock offers environmentally conscious customers an option that removes more waste than ever from the waste stream, she says.
The new stock is optimized for use on Logotech’s HP Indigo digital press. Images are lush and sharp, and the digital press easily accommodates short and medium-sized runs. “In addition to the obvious benefits of printing on 100% post-consumer recycled stock, producing these labels on the digital press allows our customers to order small runs and keep overage waste to a minimum,” says Gurland.
The recycled stock has a brightness rating of 84 and an acrylic adhesive that sticks well to a wide variety of surfaces, maintaining its hold even when submerged in a bucket of ice water. Among other certifications, it is approved for incidental food contact and child toy safety.
