ROCHESTER, NY | Nukote Intl., a producer of aftermarket printing supplies, recently was named a winner in the 2007-2008 American Package Design Awards, sponsored by Graphic Design USA. This competition was created to put the spotlight on increasingly critical elements—packaging and in-store graphics— that make the difference in how, when, and where consumers make their purchasing decisions. Nukote was one of less than 100 firms and organizations that received this distinctive honor and of more than 1,000 entries.
On another news front, Nukote will open a new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico, to meet the increasing needs of its growing North American market. The initial size will be 105,000 sq ft and will expand to 180,000 sq ft by the middle of 2009.
The facility will produce remanufactured imaging supplies for Nukote’s own brand, as well asfor a variety of private label brands the company produces for its customers.
Nukote will continue manufacturing in China, as well as at existing facilities in Connellsville, PA, Rochester, NY, and Franklin, TN. The Rochester facility is scheduled for expansion.
