Frito-Lay names Toray its Supplier of the Year

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI |Toray Plastics (America), Inc., recently was recognized by Frito-Lay North America as the 2009 Supplier of the Year in the Dave Rader Innovation of the Year award category. This year, Frito-Lay, a div. of PepsiCo, honored twelve of its best suppliers at its 2009 Supplier of the Year Awards program, held on Apr. 15, 2010, at the company’s Plano, TX, headquarters. The Innovation of the Year award is named for Dave Rader, former CFO for Frito-Lay.

"At Toray we share Frito-Lay's commitment to sustainability, and it was very exciting to partner wtih them on such a challenging endeavor. Together we successfully developed an environment-friendly compostable barrier-sealant PLA film that delivers the performance of conventional films."
