Malpack Invests in Cast Stretch Line

TORONTO, CANADA | Gloucester Engineering announced it has received an order from Malpack Ltd., Toronto, Canada, for the purchase of its fifth cast stretch film line from Gloucester Engineering. The line is scheduled to be delivered at the end of 2009.
This cast stretch film line will increase Malpack’s capacity by 43.6 million lb/yr, making it the highest capacity cast stretch film line to be installed in Canada, according to the company. The line will be the first in North America to utilize NanoLayer Feedblock technology from Cloeren Inc.
The line will be capable of producing stretch film for hand and machine wrap for thicknesses ranging from 40 to 200 ga (10 to 50 micron). The unique capabilities of Gloucester Engineering’s line, coupled with NanoLayer Feedblock technology from Cloeren, will offer Malpack’s customers increased film performance at reduced thickness, providing them with a competitive advantage in the stretch film market.
