PFFC Hosts AIMCAL Competition Judging

CHICAGO, IL | Paper, Film & Foil Converter (PFFC) once again hosted at its offices on January 22 judging for the Assn. of Industrial Metallizing, Coating & Laminating’s (AIMCAL) annual metallizing and coated products competition.
The competition honors technical and marketing excellence with one outstanding entry receiving the top Peter Rigney Product of the Year award that commemorates PFFC’s former publisher, a staunch supporter of the organization. The judges, picking nine winners from among 30 entries this year, included Travis Funk, senior packaging engineer, Diageo; Stan Kopecky, packaging consultant, SJK Packaging Assoc.; Paula Record, CPP, former senior development engineering manager, packaging, Unilever Home & Personal Care North America; Jeff Weber, principal engineer, R&D, for Kraft Foods; Mark Spaulding, editor, Converting; and PFFC’s own editor and associate publisher, Yolanda Simonsis.
An award ceremony recognizing the winners will be held during AIMCAL’s annual winter meeting, which will be held March 21—25 in LaJolla, CA, at the Hilton at Torrey Pines Hotel. Visit: www.aimcal.org.
