Keating North America Receives Top Supplier Award

HARTSVILLE, SC | Sonoco, among the largest diversified global packaging companies, announced that Philip Morris USA has named its Keating North America unit a 2007 Supplier of the Year for Excellence in Innovation. The company received the award at a two-day supplier recognition event attended by 80 of Philip Morris’s more than 4,000 suppliers. At the end of the event, 12 awards were presented, and the top two suppliers, selected by Philip Morris’ president because of the significant impact they had on the company, were recognized in a video presentation.

Along with world class graphics and rotogravure cylinders, Keating North America provided Philip Morris USA with an innovative workflow solution so that they now receive artwork that is automatically validated against customer requirements, according to Philip Morris USA Services Group. Keating is a leading North American supplier of engraved rotogravure cylinders and flexographic plates and claims it’s the only North American pre-press provider with sophisticated direct laser cylinder engraving capability.
