CPP Expo to Make Its New York Debut

PARAMUS, NJ | CPP Expo has moved to New York City and will appear June 14–16, 2016, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. CPP, which now stands for Collaboration in Packaging Production, is produced by H.A. Bruno and will feature a number of dedicated areas on the show floor, including the following:

  • Innovations Showcase from Mintel
  • Packageverse
  • UV Supermarket from RadTech
  • Converters’ Collaboration Zone featuring actual packaging materials/finished products and reportedly offering ideas that translate into increased opportunity for innovation and messaging by brand owners.

Educational programming will be provided by traditional and new partners, including Package Design Magazine, Mintel, Graphic Communication Institute at Cal Poly, and Inventours. Organizers says this ensures educational programming will attract participation by brands and brand managers.

Event director Jane McDermott says Konica Minolta, Graphic America, Pruftechnik, and others are just a few of the companies that have signed up to exhibit. "We are delighted to welcome these industry-leading companies to the event," says McDermott. "For the past several years, it has become more and more apparent that digitally driven solutions have exploded the traditional model of creating packaging. These companies are among those leading the charge in providing those capabilities—we are thrilled to have them!"

Opening new markets for suppliers and buyers is the resonating theme for CPP EXPO 2016. Todd Somers, director of sales and marketing for Emerald Packaging, says, “…Digital has opened the door to new markets and the opportunity to work more closely with brand managers. As with any new technology there is much to consider before diving in, and the forum created by CPP EXPO will certainly help the industry."
