Open House Showcases Nilpeter Equipment

SLAGELSE, DENMARK | Nilpeter reports that Esagraf, its representative in Barcelona, Spain, recently held an Open House with a focus on high-productivity narrow web flexo printing and finishing of adhesive labels
and films in a LEAN environment. More than 150 printers attended the five-day event.
Live demonstrations showcased two of Nilpeter’s flagship presses: the FA-4* and the FB-3, as well as equipment by other companies.
“The FA-4* and the FB-3 [ran] perfectly,” says Esagraf director Eduardo Sa, “and the demos impressed the customers, so we were nothing but satisfied.”
The demonstration of the sleeve-based FA-4* for producing high quality labels and flexible packaging featured a changeover from a six- and five-color job in less than three minutes, with less than 30 m of waste. The five-color wine job featured two hot foils printed by Nilpeter’s in-line flatbed unit for value-adding hot foil and embossing, the FP-4.
Visitors witnessed a fast changeover and a speed test on the FB-3, said to be one of the fastest in its class. Reportedly, the FB-3 proved its high consistency, as it went from 0–180 mpm and stopping without any movement in register.
