Specialized Packaging Sells Some Canadian Operations

MONTREAL, QC, CANADA | Specialized Packaging Group (SPG) announces the sale of Smith-Induspac Toronto, Smith-Induspac Ottawa, and Induspac Montreal to GAB Packaging, Candiac, QC.
The sale reflects a decision by SPG, a North-America-based supplier of protective packaging products and engineered packaging, to increase focus on its non-fiber business units. The Induscorr plant in Vaudreuil, QC, remains a division of SPG.
For GAB Packaging, the acquisition of three of SPG’s Canadian manufacturing facilities diversifies its product offering in value-added specialized packaging and reportedly makes it a major player in the industrial packaging market in eastern Canada.
GAB Packaging provides a complete line of services and packaging solutions to the manufacturing sector, from packaging analysis and custom design to integrated production of small or large quantities, web-based inventory management, and just-in-time delivery.
