HALLE/WESTFALEN, GERMANY | Flexicon, provider of digital prepress for consumer goods packaging, reports an expansion of its headquarters. The company, which invested approximately €600,000 in bringing two former locations together at a single address, reports there is still room to grow, with 5,200 sq m of roofed space on a lot measuring 19,200 sq m.
The facility features a modern, sophisticated workflow system designed by company specialists to ensure a high level of workplace satisfaction, help to safeguard the company’s claim to high quality, and enable continual increases in project throughput.
The automation engine’s intelligent connection to the web center supports the company in realizing the follow-the-sun principle: When a German member of staff leaves at the end of a busy workday, an urgent job can be handed off to a colleague in the US or in China so that it is finished when the German employee returns to work the following morning.
Flexicon’s customers include international giants such as Procter & Gamble, Beiersdorf, Coca Cola, Danone, Nestlé, Brandt, and a number of companies from the packaging industry and other manufacturers of retail brands. Its service portfolio includes artwork and color separation for flexo, gravure, and offset printing, digital production of flexo printing forms, as well as full-service concepts to ensure the quality of print images on a global level. The family-managed business has approximately 235 employees worldwide.
