W&H Issues Good News

LENGERICH, GERMANY | Windmoeller & Hoelscher reports increased customer interest and a large number of visitors at K 2010, held October 27-November 3 in Düsseldorf, Germany. This also was true, the company says, for its in-house expo held at the same time at its Lengerich headquarters. The expo was attended by nearly 700 visitors from 71 countries, and W&H says an unprecedented number of deals were closed during both events.

The Varex line displayed at K produced a five-layer polyolefin film developed in collaboration with ExxonMobil Chemical. Reportedly, the film showed improved properties and was thinner than conventional three-layer films, resulting in a substantial reduction of raw materials, a priority for W&H under its “greenovation” philosophy.

Managing director Peter Steinbeck says, “The positive customer feedback was overwhelming. We are relieved the economic crisis is behind us, and the outlook for 2011 is very good.”
