Digital Ink Jet Press Has Many Uses

Co. reports the.factory digital ink jet color press technology for specialty package and label printing is suited for short lead times, print-on-demand, product variety, and customized printing. Using UV-curable inks, press prints on substrates ranging from ultra-thin flexible film, foil, or paper, to vinyl, paperboard, and aluminum-based materials. Prints images in at least four colors in 300-dpi resolution at 78.8 fpm. Base technology, designated SPICE (Single Pass Inkjet Color Engineer), is based on piezo drop-on-demand printing and is said to eliminate ink waste and unnecessary recycling.
