Films Offer Clarity, High OTR

Packaging Film-Clarity, Hi OTR (AP2042) is a 300-plus film said to have good puncture resistance, stiffness, and strength characteristics for produce, frozen food, and general merchandise package/bag converting applications. Offers an oxygen transmission rate of 300-400 cc/24 hr/in.2/mil@ 90% RH and is reportedly capable of running and sealing at line speeds of 100+ cycles/min. Films are said to have excellent sealability and are available in natural, white, and other colors.
Film Has Enhanced Stiffness and Sealability

Inflex grade M927 film features a 22% increase in gloss over co.'s standard pouch film and is said to offer enhanced stiffness and seal characteristics. Improved physical properties may allow user to downgauge or replace more costly coextruded or laminated films without diminishing performance, mfr. reports. Applications include conventional and stand-up pouches.

New generation of LLDPE resins will join co.'s existing Dynex family of polymers. Offers a higher density range than previous Dynex products, resulting in a unique mix of exceptional impact resistance, tear strength, and heat-sealing properties, co. reports. Resins are said to be ideal for applications such as heavy-wall bags and heavy-duty shipping sacks where conventional hexene and metal-locene-catalyzed PE are now widely used.

UNICure is a hybrid litho ink for sheet-fed presses and dampening systems. Reported to offer drastically improved ink/water latitude and to provide exceptional transfer for high densities, low dot gains, high trap percentages, and a fast-cure response. Available in Pantone and metallic colors and is described as suitable for coated and uncoated paper and paperboard.
