Senior VP David A. Markgraf of Enercon Industries Corp., Menomonee Falls, WI, retires after 25 years with the company. Having extolled the values of surface treating from practically every corner of the globe since 1980, Markgraf says he’s looking forward to traveling with his wife Judy and becoming a more familiar face to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His accolades are many, including having risen through the Enercon ranks from sales manager to marketing manager to VP, then senior VP; president of FlouroTec; and past chairman of the PLACE Div. of TAPPI as well as Film Extrusion Committee chairman and Printing Committee chairman. Further PLACE involvement included Extrusion Coating Committee chairman and International Planning Subcommittee chairman. He is also a member of the Division’s Film Extrusion and Midwest Packaging and Converting Committees. Markgraf was given the esteemed PLC Division Leadership and Service Award in 1994 and the Andreas G. Ahlbrandt Prize. He served on the board of directors Marketing Committee and currently serves on the board of directors International Committee. And finally, Markgraf has been active in CEMAM, AIMCAL, and the FTA. As Dave segues into a new phase of his life, he intimates he will be looking for opportunities to consult in sales and marketing as well as development of domestic and international sales teams or manufacturers’ reps.
