Allows users to run metallized films at the same production rates as paper, company reports. Automated production line handles rolled, wrapped, and label products. Production rates are 820 fpm or 75 rolls/min for all substrates running in any of the operational modes — cores, coreless, or sheet stiffened. Accuracy of cut lengths is ±0.1 in.

Transfer Ink Electrostatically

Electrosist ink transfer system applies a charge to the impression roller that produces an electric field between the roller and the grounded gravure cylinder. Ink acquires a small charge that produces a “wave” in the liquid. Substrate comes in contact with the ink, which allows capillary action, and ink is transferred to the substrate.
