Critical Payloads to Benefit from Thermal Package

A shipping container designed to transport such temperature-sensitive items as organs, tissue, and body fluids is awarded AIMCAL's Package of the Year. The film behind it takes the Technology of the Year award.
The Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters, and Laminators (AIMCAL) honored DuPont Teijin Films, Wilmington, DE, USA, with the Peter Rigney Package of the Year award during is Winter Management Meeting held March 14 - 18, 2001, at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, Indian Wells, CA, USA.
Named in 1998 for the late publisher of PFFC, the Package of the Year award is the highest honor in the association's annual Metallized or Vacuum-Coated Package and Label competition. The award is presented to the entry voted most outstanding in material, technique, and design.
DuPont Teijin also picked up AIMCAL's Technology of the Year award for the Mylar multilayer film used in the construction of Minnetonka, MN-based Advantek Inc.'s Vaculok thermal packaging system.
