Film Achieves “No-Label Look” on White Containers

OptiFLEX Conform White, available in four constructions, is a 2.5-mil, conformable, white PP film with high gloss, excellent opacity, and good surface smoothness characteristics, co. says. Product is designed for labeling semi-squeeze and rigid containers, reportedly offering excellent conformability to container surfaces with irregular shapes and compound curves. Co. adds it provides maximum label and graphic coverage for large panel graphics and is designed to withstand the squeeze and moisture rigors of the shower environment.
Matte Finished Boards Offer a Lot of POP

C1S & C2S GW are solid bleached matte finished boards designed for prominent packaging, tag, and point-of-sale applications. C1S boards are available in 8- and 9.3-pt calipers. The boards feature a triple-coated top side and surface-sized reverse side. This coating and sizing combination is said to provide a smooth surface with superior flex-crack resistance and embossing characteristics. Boards offer a brightness level of 90 for vibrant color reproduction. They are recommended for packaging perfumes, cosmetics, chocolates, pharmaceuticals, wines, and spirits, plus general merchandise. C2S board is 9.3 pt and is recommended for high quality bags and promotional items.
Label Adhesive Succeeds in Low Temperatures

Nacor 38-463A waterborne, tackified, acrylic PSA has been developed for paper or film labels in applications with temperatures down to -20 deg F. In addition to adhering securely to various substrates in low-temperature environments, specialty adhesive converts cleanly, dispenses well, and provides an ideal balance of peel, shear, and tack, mfr. reports. It becomes clear when cured and is suitable for frozen and refrigerated foods.
