Label Converter Adds Two HP Indigo Presses
PALO ALTO, CA, USA—Hewlett-Packard Co. reports Altrif Label, the Netherlands, one of the largest manufacturers of p-s (pressure-sensitive) labels in Europe, announced plans to increase its extensive production capability by adding two new seven-color HP Indigo Press ws4000s.

The two HP Indigo presses will complement a dozen already-installed Ko-Pack presses, and they are intended to handle shorter print runs of adhesive labels as part of Altrif's growing order volume.

Altrif earlier had experimented with digital label printing using a four-color, dry toner-based system. The company quickly saw an increasing demand for short-run digital label printing, HP says.
