ST LOUIS, MO | Prakolar Rótulos Autoadesivos has purchased its second Mark Andy Performance Series P7 printing system, after installing its first P7 in mid-2011. The company’s fast-paced growth, along with its need to deliver high quality labels efficiently and consistently, led it to explore modern technology to meet demands. Both Mark Andy P7 presses are 250 mm (10 in.), 8-color dual servo platform machines capable of high quality combination printing effects such as cold foil, rotary screen, chilled UV curing as well as converting options.
In 2011, Mark Andy received two international technical innovation awards for the Performance Series line, recognized for the extremely efficient lock-and-load printing platform that has been proven to reduce material waste by up to 50% and save measurable time during set-up and change over. Nearly 150 machines have been sold in 28 countries. Several buyers have bought more than one, replacing multiple older style presses with the drastically more productive and consistent Performance Series.
Prakolar, celebrating 45 years in business this year, is one of Brazil’s top suppliers for pharmaceutical, cosmetics, foodstuff, chemicals, beverages, and other industries. The company is a NBR ISO9001/2000 certified business and has also been recognized with awards for flexo printing excellence as well as the Pharma Excellence and Sindusfarma Quality Awards.
