Swiss Flexpack Converter Invests in UV Flexo Hybrid Printing

KIRCHBERG BERN, SWITZERLAND | Clondalkin Group company Nyco Flexible Packaging has invested in the latest generation Omet ultraviolet (UV) flexographic hybrid printing technology, a new printing facility, and additional slitting capacity at its Kirchberg manufacturing site. The investments represent one of the largest projects in the company’s history.

In recent months, the new building as well as the entire infrastructure for the new printing machine have been installed and are now fully operational.
Built by Italian manufacturer Omet, the new Varyflex V2 670 mm UV Flexo Hybrid machine has proved its way through the extensive series of tests and was commissioned for operative production at the end of July 2013.
Nyco is a market leader in the production of shrink sleeves, lidding films, and foils and reel-fed material for the dairy, confectionery, pharmaceutical, and beverage markets.
