Omet Expands Tissue Converting Division

LECCO, ITALY | Omet reports a new and larger premise dedicated to the production of tissue converting machines is in operation. According to sales and marketing director 
Marco Calcagni, "Our machines division for tissue needs room to develop new projects…. This is only the first step of a strategic plan of development for tissue that will provide important new investments in the next two or three years.”
The new facility, operational since October 2012, consists of 1,450 sq m dedicated to the manufacturing sector and 550 sq m of office space. The warehouse and offices were completely renovated following all safety and environmental regulations. Photovoltaic panels were installed on the plant roof, making the facility "green” and fully covering the electricity needs of the company.
