NEUWIED, GERMANY | Winkler & Dunnebier (W&D) has launched the BB700 S2 servo envelope inserting system. The high-speed multi-format system is said to be operator-friendly and to aid productivity.
The inserting system is equipped with decoupled servo drives, reportedly allowing for fine adjustments on-the-fly and facilitating intelligent error compensation features. This means defective and sealed envelopes are ejected before the inserting process without stopping machine operation.
Operating speeds are 16,000 envelopes/hr; changeovers are tool-free; and product thickness is to 15 mm. The system has the ability to change feeder configuration utilizing rotary, friction, shuttle, and other feeder technologies.
