Unifoil Corp., Fairfield, NJ, partnered with IGH Solutions, Inver Grove Hts., MN, to manufacture IML drinkware as a promotional item for fans attending a screening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon at Hoyts theaters in Australia (also see AIMCAL competition, p34.). The cup is made with IGH's metallized KROM IML cup technology, which incorporates Unifoil's silver metallic Ultralustre substrate. According to Rosa Hermoza, product manager at IGH, “Hoyts wanted a promotional item that would bring to life a New Moon scene and capture the look of a spellbinding moonlight glow. … The KROM IML cup with Ultraluster has an exceptional metallic shimmer and smooth finish that create the illusion of an aura of moonlight. Also important, the Ultralustre process allowed us to maintain vivid essential brand colors, something not possible with metallic ink.”
