Schreiner MediPharm, Blauvelt, NY, has developed specialty adhesive labels that easily adhere to the plastic substrates and curved surfaces of pens and autoinjectors, devices increasingly used by patients (such as diabetics) for self-injection. The new line includes detachable label segments to assure proper documentation of drug dispensing and administration; multi-page text fields to accommodate extensive information; labels with tactile elements as such as Braille; special coatings with non-slip properties; and tamper-evident solutions to indicate first opening.
