KTI to Show Off Modular Line

SOUTH BELOIT, IL | Keene Technology Inc., a supplier of splicing and turret rewinding solutions, will unveil its new modular converting systems line at Labelexpo Americas 2012, September 11–13, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
Features include full rotary and semi-rotary die-cutting, flexographic print/coating stations, laminating stations, hot foil/cold foil, inkjet print, folding carton die-cutting, pharmaceutical inspection, and error detection.
The company reports it will now manufacture and sell a complete series of modular converting products that will address many applications that would normally incorporate their existing product line. This is said to allow KTI to offer a truly “turnkey” solution to any offline applications that face converters today. The modular capability also a machine that fills the need for efficient and “lean” workflow, optimal performance and thru put, and marginal waste.
Systems are said to be user-friendly and to reduce set-up time and makeready time. Equipment is offered in web widths of 10–32 in. Applications include labels and tags, folding cartons, ECL/booklets, digital finishing, and nonwovens.
