Control Techniques Offers New Servo Drive Solution

MINNEAPOLIS, MN | Control Techniques, an Emerson Industrial Automation company, announces the release of the Digitax ST-X indexing servo motor drive with EtherNet/IP, a new variant of the company’s Digitax ST series of pulse duty servo drives.

The new high-performance servo drive, designed specifically for use with Rockwell Automation PLCs, is said to be compact yet powerful and optimized for pulse duty, indexing servo applications requiring high peak torque (up to 300% peak), dynamic response, and ease of use.

It features Add-On Instruction (AOI) block programming for seamless integration with the RSLogix 5000 software environment and built-in EtherNet/IP for high-speed drive access, global connectivity, and flexible integration.

Standard features on all Digitax ST variants include 14 types of encoder feedback, Safe Torque Off, 3-6 digital inputs and 0-3 digital configurable digital outputs, and integrated EMC filter. Options include snap-in SM option modules for added I/O and extended feedback capabilities. Applications include indexing tables, fast conveyor positioning, cut-to-length machines, punch press, and many others.
