Mondi Is Expanding

Vienna, Austria | Mondi Coating & Release is investing more than e7 million in its core technology and is building another “brown-field” extrusion coating plant next to the existing facility in Štetí, Czech Republic. Setup of a new extrusion coater and other machines is scheduled for autumn, and first production runs are planned for early 2009.

Mondi and Obaly Solo — an extrusion coating specialist located in Ružomberok, Slovakia — have agreed to cooperate and together provide ream-wrapping solutions for the paper industry and extrusion-coated products for the food and nonfood industries. Mondi will deliver these solutions via its existing worldwide sales network.
