ATP Offers Water-Based P-S Adhesives

WOLLERAU, SWITZERLAND | ATP offers water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive systems, which, while they might exhibit whitening when exposed to humidity, reportedly show no loss of adhesion to the substrate.

Company says it worked with its raw material suppliers to develop p-s films that can match the performance of solvent-based adhesive systems in terms of water whitening.

Water-based adhesive systems, even after being immersed in water for several days, are said to exhibit no visual impairment or any loss of adhesive force. These systems have been applied to products for the graphics industry such as overlaminates requiring water-resistance, particularly when used for outdoor applications.
