Nordmeccanica Holds Open House in Italy

PIACENZA, ITALY | An open house at Nordmeccanica Italy showcased the company’s vacuum metallization and adhesive lamination capabilities to more than 200 guests from four continents. 
Attendees saw a demonstration of the vacuum metallization of 2.9-m-wide (115 in.) polypropylene as well as the deposition of AlOx (aluminum oxide) on a PET film on a 1,500-mm-wide (59 in.) metallizer. Each day was concluded with a visit to the coating lamination division of Nordmeccanica for a seminar on barrier coating and a demonstration of thin foil lamination.
Company says the newly redesigned family of vacuum metallizers features very fast production cycles and top-of-the-industry output. Reportedly, the new design incorporates solutions allowing for unsurpassed ergonomics, ease of use, scrap reduction, and energy savings.
