American Forest & Paper Assn., Washington, DC, reports total kraft paper shipments in May 2011 were 131,800 tons, an increase of 0.2% compared to May 2010, but up 1.5% compared to April 2011. Total boxboard production decreased by 1.5% compared to May 2010 but increased 1.0% from April 2011. Containerboard production rose when compared to April 2011, with month-over-month average daily production up 0.3%.
