Paperboard Report Is Out

WASHINGTON, DC | According to the American Forest & Paper Assn.'s January 2010 Paperboard Report, total production increased from December 2009 totals by 81,800 tons or 8.0%. Total paperboard production decreased by 2.1% in January 2010 compared to January 2009. Additional key findings from the report include:

  • Solid Bleached Folding production rose 14.7% from December 2009
  • Unbleached Kraft Folding grew 12.5% over prior month
  • Recycled Folding production increased 6.4% compared to prior month
