Tobacco Board Saves Energy

Promina SBS board for use in premium tobacco packaging offers almost identical operating properties as its predecessor, Printkote Tobacco, but at an average basis weight reduction of 7%. Also (for a given amount of production) reduces overall energy consumption by 6%, reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 3%, and requires less water to produce. Said to offer enhanced printability, runnability, and consistency, producing a sheet 40% cleaner than company's previous premium quality board.
