Optical Sheet Counter Saves Money, Reduces Errors

PATERSON, NJ | Colter & Peterson is the North America distributor for Function Control's optical sheet counting and ream marking system. The P7 optical sheet counter reduces errors by eliminating the guesswork in determining counts, providing accurate measurements for stacks of paper, board, corrugated, and other substrates, and does so without ever touching it through technology. The system is said to be ten times more accurate than count by weight scale systems.
The P7 is available in two speed versions – standard or high speed – and requires very little room with a compact, vertical footprint. “The P7 can handle stacks up to 70 in. high without anyone needing to touch it,” said Richard Peereboom, C&P sales manager. “It has a great design so this machine can fit anywhere. The P7 has door panels that can be accessed on multiple sides, and the touchscreen panel is flexible so it can be located on three sides in different working heights. The LED indicator signals the operator when the stack is in the correct range for a fast and accurate count, and all they have to do is push a button.”
