New Joint Venture Formed by Colbert and Haapanen

CHICAGO, IL | Colbert Packaging Corp., a manufacturer of folding cartons, rigid paper boxes, and paperboard specialty products, and Haapanen Brothers, (http://www.haapanenbrothers.com/) Gurnee, IL, a full-service graphic arts and printing company, have formed C and H Printing Solutions, a new provider of micro-folded packaging inserts and outserts. The joint venture was established to serve the needs of pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, and consumer goods manufacturers, as well as other companies that incorporate product information inserts and outserts into their packaging.
Headquartered within Colbert’s GMP-compliant flexographic manufacturing facility in Lake Forest, IL, C and H is capable of producing more than 2.8 million pcs/day on specialized equipment, some of which can fold inserts into as many as 238 panels. These capabilities, coupled with the extensive pharmaceutical industry experience of both Colbert and Haapanen, are designed to meet the insert printing and folding needs of even the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Lon Johnson will serve as VP of sales for C and H. In addition to Johnson, the C and H management team includes Jim Hamilton, president of Colbert Packaging, and Jerry Haapanen, president of Haapanen Brothers.
