Stopping Winter Static … how?

Around this time every year, I remember that static problems will be worse in the coming winter months. This is well known and we pretty much understand why … it is a humidity thing.

If we know that things are going to get worse, then let’s work now to prevent problems. While I’ve developed a checklist of things that I’ve done to help prevent Winter Static, I’m interested in things that you’ve done.
