Eclipse Film Technologies Installs a W&H MDO Unit

LINCOLN, RI | Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corp. (W&H) has installed an MDO (machine direction orientation) unit at Eclipse Film Technologies, Cincinnati, OH. The MDO machine has been installed in Eclipse's 26,000-sq.-ft. production site and is fully operational. Eclipse will use this new capacity to produce films for the food and medical industries that offer offer cost savings benefits, as well as improved stiffness, strength, optics, and barrier properties. These enhancements can be leveraged by converters, packaging engineers, and brand owners.
