Paper Machinery Corp. Acquires Sherwood Tool Assets

MILWAUKEE, WI, USA—Paper Machinery Corp.(PMC) reports it has acquired the assets of long-time competitor Sherwood Tool, Kensington, CT, USA. PMC manufactures paper cup and container converting machinery, and Sherwood Tool has been a supplier to the paper cup converting industry for more than 50 years, adds PMC.

Says PMC president John Baumgartner, "I'm really very excited about this acquisition. It's great for Sherwood customers, because we will offer them continued technical support of the Sherwood Tool equipment. And it's great for PMC customers, too, because it expands our line of equipment and capabilities. It simply makes us a larger, stronger company that, in turn, allows us to provide more products and services to all of our customers."

Sherwood Tool's operations are being moved to PMC's headquarters in Milwaukee, WI, says PMC.
