AVT Launches Prestige Automatic Press Control Package

PRESS RELEASE

HOD-HASHARON, ISRAEL—Advanced Vision Technology (AVT) says its new Prestige automatic press-control package, for central impression flexographic presses, includes solutions that automatically handle ALL makeready tasks as well as control the associated press parameters during the run.

According to AVT, the Prestige package (an option for the company's PrintVision/Jupiter platforms), comprises three modules:

  • the established pRegister module for automatic register pre-setting and control;
  • the new Presco module for automatic plate pressure pre-setting and control; and
  • the IΔEal module for ΔE-based color pre-setting guidance and run-time color management.

AVT says each of these solutions can reduce makeready time and material waste significantly, as well as continuously monitor the required print quality throughout the run.

Says AVT's Koby Shtaierman, "Register, plate pressure, and viscosity level set-up are essential for quality reproduction of printed jobs, while these tasks are very costly in time and material span. Press vendors and printers have been looking for solutions to automate these tasks and to accelerate makeready while minimizing the material wastage in the process."
