Bobst to Introduce Metallizer at Open House

HEYWOOD, UK | Bobst Manchester will be launching the K5 vacuum metallizer at an Open House at its Competence Centre in Heywood, England, October 18, 2016.

This is the next generation of the K5000 platform and can run at speeds to 1,200 mpm. Company says the metallizer offers cost-saving innovations to reduce energy consumption, consumable usage, and film waste, while maximizing productivity.

Also being launched during the Open House is the AluBond process, said to provide high metal adhesion with values to 5N/15 mm and improve surface energy retention through an innovation in the vacuum metallization process. This process will be demonstrated on the new K5 Expert metallizer, and company also will include an educational session in the laboratory to demonstrate the full effects of AluBond.
